The game/experience is growing on me - I'm starting to understand why this is not a cheap game. This game should have been in the Rift Store - it does not belong on Steam, this is an Oculus Rift CV1 game if there ever was one. I'm greatly enjoying the game using the Rift CV1, but the game is totally dead and unplayable with the Index. With the RTX 3090, I'm getting solid 90 fps with ss 2.0, ss 2.5 was too much. See how the grass in the foreground is out of focus - depth of field is used here, again requiring a fast gpu

Some 3D grass - you'll need a fast rig for this game Graphics are impressive - but only using the Rift CV1 I tried to capture the dynamic shadows here Not tons of polygons, but the wolf looks fine - and the eyes are great

More great dynamic light and shadows - and nice textures If there ever was a game needing the Rift CV1, this is it. Also the brightness check is perfect with the CV1, but totally wrong with lcd like the Index - this game was made for oled.Īnd if the above arguments were not enough to convince some that the game was made for Rift CV1, then the Steam version furthermore supports native Oculus drivers.

Cinematics work and Touch is fully supported.Ĭlearly this game was made for the CV1. Using CV1, suddenly the game is sharp and not blurry at all. So my rating is like 2/10 with the Index.īut it's 8/10 or maybe even 9-10/10 with the Rift CV1! This game is very special - and it's total garbage using the Index, first of all you need a gamepad for the Index, and then cinematics aren't properly displayed in the hmd, like you're getting two separate images, and the game is soaked in temporal antialiasing making it so blurry it's unenjoyable.
